My Story
I started bodybuilding in the early 90’s and fell instantly in love with the sport. After about 5 years I decided to do my first competition, The Utah Cup in 1998. I competed as a light heavy weight and I took second in my class. I was so nervous, but once you step out on that stage and you hear the crowd roar, and hearing the support from family and friends, it’s a feeling I can’t describe. I have competed in half a dozen shows and my latest was the 2006 Border States in San Diego. I won the overall title as a super heavy weight. I weighed 228 lbs and was 2% body fat. That’s a pretty significant change from my small 125 lbs frame when I first feel in love with the sport.
Bodybuilding has taught me a lot of important lessons that have helped me in life. For instance, discipline, dedication commitment, and sacrifice, just to name a few. I’ve been able to apply these great lessons to my life and for these lesson I’m very thankful. I have such a great support system around to help me achieve these accomplishments and stay focused. I have to thank my close friends, girlfriend, and family.
