Time to get serious and time to cut!! YAY I love cutting down all the fat and seeing what is underneath. I have gained almost 6 lbs of muscle!! I am hoping it helps my back look more muscular and dense and bring out my shoulders.
For this week we have cut my carbs back a bit to try and lose some body fat. I actually prefer being on lower carbs anyway, I retain less water and look leaner. My carbs will mainly be before and after my workouts so I can have the energy to make it through. I get 40g from the post workout muscle recovery..I LOVE IT. After a heavy lifting day my body craves those quick carbs..it tastes so good and it replenishes my glycogen stores so I can gain lean mass.
My trainer added 5 more minutes of cardio. Ummmm yeah .... that 5 minutes feels like a lot more..but I shouldn't complain yet..until I have to start doing two a day! I did the step-mill all last week and I think this week I will do the elliptical. I always switch up machines each week so my body doesn't get use to just one.
This weekend I am heading out to the bodybuilding.com expo. I am super excited!! There will be a few figure pros and fitness models that I get to meet, Ava Cowan being my all time favorite girl in the industry!!! I have been watching her for a while and now she just barely turned pro. My goal is to have a body like hers someday! Since I will be traveling I have to pack all my meals and food in a cooler and take it with me, there is NO eating out when you are in contest prep!
